Form Issues

If you submitted a query through the contact form, chances are I didn’t get it. The contact form sent everything to SPAM rather than to my regular inbox. I’ve since mailed back to everyone whose entry I found in the SPAM folder, so if you haven’t heard back from me, your entry got lost. Please submit again.

I’ve also updated the form so this should not happen again, and I’m sorry for any inconvenience.

Booktrope Closing Its Doors

Booktrope Publishing, the publisher I’ve worked for since 2014, is officially closing its doors.

It’s a tough time for all authors involved, so I’m offering huge discounts. Any Booktrope author in need of editing or proofreading services, will get a 50% discount. Just get in touch, or comment here, and I’ll get back to you ASAP.

October / November Update

I know it’s almost the end of November, but I realized I hadn’t written an update for October yet. October wasn’t as busy as November, mainly because I spent a lot of time moving, and that had to take priority.

Here’s a list of the projects I wrapped up in October:

  • War Witch: Rise by Cain S. Latrani / fantasy
  • Escaping the Prince by Lorraine O’Byrne / children’s book

And here are the projects I worked on in November (so far):

  • Under the Gun 2 by B.L. Morticia / LGBT erotic romance
  • The Hatching by Eric Turowski¬† / horror
  • The Binding Book One: Shade of the Shattered Heart by Robert DiLauro / horror
  • Straight from the Heart by Breigh Forstner / contemporary romance
  • Dark Apostle by Jim Greenfield / horror
  • The Truth about Broken Trees (Light Keeper series #3) by Kelly Hall / young adult

September Update

September flew by so fast! I edited a ton of books this month, so that might have something to do with it. Here’s the list of projects I wrapped up this month (links point to each project’s page). If a project doesn’t have a link yet, it means it wasn’t published yet.

  • The Animal (anthology by various authors) / horror
  • The idea of North by Alex Kimmell / horror
  • Lest We Become by S.E. Rise / horror
  • Forest of Blood by S. Williams / horror
  • Sinning by S.E. Rise / erotic romance
  • Percocet Dreams by Dana LaKat / dark poetry collection
  • Cream on the Crop by Margie Church / erotic romance

June Updates

In June, I edited two books: “Dangerous Concoctions” by Victoria Bright, an erotic romance, and “The Dolorous Adventure of Brother Banenose” by Matthew Catania, a humorous historical fantasy.

I also finished proofreading three projects: Horror novella “Three Days Grace” by Dale Reierson, erotic romance novella “Under the Gun” by B.L. Morticia and fantasy novel “Journey” by Mireille Chester.

I’ve linked to a few of the books below that have their pages on Goodreads. The others aren’t published yet, but I’ll add them once they are.

It’s May already?

Where did the time go? Last I updated this blog was back in January, but since then, I finished a few editing projects, and I have a lot more projects waiting for me in May and June.

Several books I worked on have since been released. I posted the covers below, and the covers link to Amazon or Goodreads.

Not bad for a few months work, eh?

Most of those are paranormal romance or erotic romance, but “Roses are Red…Violet is Dead” is a YA book, and “A Fate Worse Than Death” is a mystery with paranormal elements and humor.

For May, I’m working on several more titles. I’m proofreading The Dead Cat Paradox by S.E. Rise and Under the Gun by B.L. Morticia. I’m also editing The Dolorous Adventure of Brother Barnerose by Matthew Catania and Dangerous Concoctions by Victoria Bright.

Well, hello January

One year ago, I started working for Booktrope Publishing, as a book manager, editor and proofreader. The journey has been great so far, and I’ve loved every minutes of it. I got the opportunity to edit some amazing books, and I’ll be forever thankful. Here’s to another year, Booktrope.

I wrapped up a lot of projects in January. I finished the first round of edits for Forbidden Fruit by Monique Desir, and the second round of edits for Granted Wishes by Tanya Vought. I also finished two proofreading projects, That’s A Lie (Promises, Promises #2) by Victoria Klahr and The Opposite of Love by Dahlia Salvatore.

In February, I get to work on Roses are Red, Violet is Dead by Monica-Marie Vincent. I will also be a slush pile reader for Nightscape Press during that month. I love horror books, and so far I’ve mostly been editing romance and young adult novels, and I’d like to read some horror too.

Website updates

I updated the website and added some more books I worked on during the past few months. You can see them on my brand new portfolio page, or in the sidebar.

I also added a widget mentioning my schedule for the next few months in the sidebar, so you can see what projects I have coming up.

Not mentioned on the portfolio page is Midnight by Eve Eschenbacher, another book I worked on, but which hasn’t been released yet.

As you can see, I have a few more projects I’m working on at the moment. I just finished the first round of edits for Granted Wishes by Tanya Vought, and am now going through the second round of edits. Once those are finished, I’ll focus on editing Forbidden Fruit by Monique Desir and That’s A Lie (Promises, Promises #2) by Victoria Klahr.

I have an opening for one more project in December, and several openings for January and onward, so if you want to contact me for a project, please go ahead.
